What's Wrong In Rajnikanth Doing These?

Superstar Rajnikanth's recent outing 'Lal Salaam' was a disaster. This movie had the legendary actor playing a special role and his daughter Aishwarya directed it. The collections were way too low and the movie was equally disappointing too. It managed to get zero share in the Telugu states which led to many saying that Rajnikanth is taking unwanted risks and is damaging his image at this stage in his career.

One thing for sure is that Rajnikanth's range and stardom is in no danger even if he does flop films. He is one of the biggest stars in India and is respected by everyone. He has craze on an international level and his knowledge of cinema and life has no boundaries. He is the Superstar of Indian cinema and no one can take that away from him.

He scored a blockbuster last year with 'Jailer'. He proved his stamina with that action drama. None of the movies which had him dancing and romancing heroines worked in recent times. His biggest success prior to 'Jailer' is 'Robo' which arrived in 2010. In the last 13-14 years, his image did not go down a single bit even after delivering continuous flops like 'Kochadiyaan', 'Linga', 'Kaala', 'Kabali' and others.

Rajni is 73 years old now and he is still doing films at this age. Not many stars act at that age and Rajni is expected to continue like this for another 7 years. If he is fit and healthy, it may extend to 10 years. At this point in his career, he is trying different stories and different characters which show his hunger.

He supported his daughter Aishwarya Rajnikanth by doing a special character. With all the personal issues she has been facing lately, Rajni supported his daughter in the best way possible. Keeping the result aside, Rajni did a great job both as an actor and a father. Also, he did not spend a lot of time on this project.

Hits and flops are a part of everyone's career. But one should make sure that the same mistakes don't happen quite often. He is going to work with Lokesh Kanagaraj soon and he is doing a movie with KE Gnanavel. These two projects are expected to bring him success. Whilst doing those movies, he can often support young and upcoming heroes by making small appearances.
