The Ramayana is one of the most loved stories in Indian history. Many filmmakers have tried to bring this epic to the big screen in different ways. However not every attempt has received the same response. Prabhas' Adipurush arrived with huge expectations but failed to impress audiences. On the other hand, Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana has started creating positive interest even though expectations among Telugu audiences were initially not very high.

Interestingly, both films are based on the story of Lord Rama and Goddess Sita. But what makes these two projects different?.

The biggest difference is the way the stories are presented. Adipurush attempted to bring the Ramayana to the screen with a modern visual style. However, several changes in presentation and the way certain characters were shown did not connect well with audiences.

On the other hand, Ramayana took different approach. The makers tried to offer something new without moving away from the importance of the original story.

Another major difference is the use of VFX. Audiences naturally expect much more from big-budget films.

This is where Adipurush faced its biggest criticism. Despite having a huge budget, its visual effects disappointed many viewers. The graphics became one of the major reasons for the negative response.

In comparison, Ramayana has received attention for its visual scale and technical presentation. If Adipurush had received more attention to its VFX, character designs and overall presentation, the audience response might have been different.

So both films tell the story of Lord Rama, but their cinematic approaches are different and that made one flop and another out of trolls.
