Without a doubt, Sankranti is the biggest festive season for movie releases. The Dasara season stands next as kids get holidays for a week during that period. Apart from that, the summer season also witnesses a lot of big releases as most of the youth get free time. But Tollywood often ignores Diwali for some reason. While big heroes from Tamil and Hindi release their movies during the Diwali season, the Telugu filmmakers show no interest.

This year, Salman Khan is releasing his 'Tiger 3' on November 12th. This is the biggest movie in his career and there are huge expectations on it. On the other hand, Tamil hero Karthi is arriving on 10th November with 'Japan' and he is accompanied by 'Jigarthanda Double X' featuring Raghava Lawrence in the lead. But there are no notable releases from Telugu. Vaisshnav Tej's 'Aadikeshava' which was supposed to be released on November 10th got postponed to the 24th and the producer cited the World Cup as the main reason.

RGV's political flick 'Vyuham' is arriving on this date but there is zero buzz on the movie. Other than that, there are no recognizable Telugu movies during the festive week. People are finding it tough to understand why the producers ignore the Diwali season when other industries release big movies. While the World Cup may be one reason, one cannot deny how Telugu filmmakers chose not to release their films during Diwali season every time. Much like Ganesh Chaturthi, Diwali is also going to be stacked with dubbing films in theatres.
