Big Price Hike Planned for Toxic?

Yash’s much-awaited movie Toxic is getting ready for a big release. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on August 26, 2026. It is expected to have a wide release in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Reports say that a big distribution company has taken the movie’s distribution rights and is planning to release it in many theatres.
Now, there is a discussion about increasing ticket prices for Toxic in Andhra Pradesh. According to reports, special early morning shows may have tickets priced at around Rs. 500 or Rs. 600. After that, ticket prices may reportedly be increased by Rs. 50 to Rs. 100 for around one or two weeks. However, there is no official confirmation about these prices yet.
Ticket price hikes for big dubbed movies are not new in Telugu states. Earlier, films like Coolie, Kantara and KGF also received higher ticket prices in some places. But the big question is whether audiences will accept a similar hike for Toxic.
Toxic is primarily made as a Kannada film. The makers have also reportedly shot parts in English. For Telugu and other languages, the movie will mainly arrive in dubbed versions. Because of this, some people are questioning whether a high ticket price can be justified for the Telugu version.
The movie is being promoted as a big action adventure film. It is not a fantasy film with large-scale visual effects like Baahubali or Hanu-Man. The makers have spent a huge amount of money on the project, but the film’s genre is mainly action and adventure. This has created a debate about whether the Telugu audience should pay much higher ticket prices.
The production house behind Toxic, KVN Productions, also has good connections with the Telugu film industry. The company is associated with several upcoming projects, including Chiranjeevi and Bobby’s Mega 158 and an animation film directed by Anil Ravipudi.
Still, there is no official confirmation about the ticket hike for Toxic. Until the government or makers officially announce the new prices, all the current reports should be treated as speculation.
