Shashtipoorthi: Ilaiyaraja, Keeravani join hands for Yedho YeJanmalodo, make it soulful

Yedho Ye Janmalodo is the latest song from Shashtipoorthi, starring Rajendra Prasad and Archana of Ladies Tailor fame as a couple. Rupeysh and Akanksha Singh play another couple in this family-friendly outing. It is on the young couple that the new song has been filmed.

Maestro Ilaiyaraaja has joined musical forces with the Academy Award recipient MM Keeravani for the meaningful song. While the former has set its haunting tune, the latter has adorned it with chaste Telugu lyrics.

Bringing together two musical greats is rare but things fell into place luckily for the film. Director Pavan Prabha shared that the narrative-driven track, rendered by Ananya Bhat, was brought to life when Ilaiyaraaja offered to compose a single for the movie. The director looked for someone who could lend a unique literary value to the song. With all the encouragement by Rupeysh, director quickly approached the Baahubali composer, who was game. The RRR composer conjured up the 'pallavi' in no time.

The film makes use of the talents of seasoned artists like Chakrapani Ananda and Kantara fame Achyut Kumar. Prabhas Sreenu, Chalaki Chanti, Muralidhar Goud, and Jabardasth Ram, among others, have played different roles. Senior Actors Rajendra Prasad and Archana are happy about doing this coming-of-age family drama.
