Thalapathy Vijay is definitely ruling Kollywood at the moment. No one thought that any hero would touch Rajnikanth's level till the legendary actor stopped acting. But over the past few years, Vijay scored back-to-back blockbusters and even looked like surpassing Rajnikanth at one point. While Rajni was delivering one failure after another, Vijay had super hits like 'Thuppaki', 'Kaththi', 'Theri', 'Mersal' and 'Bigil' over the past decade. He even crossed the records created by Rajnikanth and Vijay's fans went out of control on social media.

But Rajni gave a fitting reply to everyone and shut the haters with 'Jailer'. He collected over 600 crores with this film and many thought that Vijay would counter it back with 'Leo'. Not just the fans but the normal audience were also highly confident about this Lokesh Kanagaraj project. The hype over the movie and the huge advance bookings suggested that it would easily cross the collections of 'Jailer'. But people understood that it may not be possible after watching the movie. Many are confused about what made Vijay accept this film apart from Lokesh's image.

The 'Vikram' director completely disappointed the fans and his bad story and lackluster narration is the reason for the failure as per many. The public is questioning Vijay's judgment after watching 'Leo'. Any hero would know during the making that if a film hits the bull's eye or not. What's even more interesting is the fact that Lokesh falters only when he works with Vijay. After making superb films like 'Maanagaram' and 'Khaidi', he made 'Master' with Vijay which did not reach expectations at all. Lokesh immediately delivered a blockbuster like 'Vikram' which was loved by every movie enthusiast. But he once again faltered with 'Leo'.

Not just Lokesh but another top Tamil talent Nelson Dilipkumar too did the same. His movies 'Kolammavu Kokila' and 'Doctor' were both critical as well as commercial successes. He made 'Beast' with Vijay which was a disaster but his immediate project was 'Jailer' with Rajnikanth which turned out to be an industry hit. Even Vijay's last film 'Varisu' directed by Vamsi Paidipally did not impress many. It looks like top Tamil talent is failing to deliver with Vijay for some reason. What do you think the reason is?
