These days, movies of a lot of Tier 1 and Tier 2 heroes are getting sold for fancy rates. Especially, there is huge competition for OTT deals of these heroes. The streaming platforms are splashing the cash based on the market of the stars. With the viewership being phenomenal, the OTT platforms are not backing away from investing huge money into their movies. But they are not showing a lot of interest in films of heroes who are scoring one flop after the other.

Rowdy hero Vijay Deverakonda's last hit was 'Taxiwala' which came out 5-6 years back. His 'Dear Comrade', 'World Famous Lover' and 'Liger' turned out to be huge disasters. 'Khushi' which arrived last year bagged an average talk but did not get good collections. Looking at his craze, the OTT platforms have spent heavily on Vijay's films over the last few years but sources suggest that they did not get good reception on digital platforms too,

Insiders reveal that his next film 'Family Star' is not getting any buyers regarding the OTT rights. He is working with his 'Geetha Govindham' director Parasuram once again and hit heroine Mrunal Thakur is the leading lady. But none of the platforms are willing to spend huge money prior to the release. As per reports, they are waiting to see how the film turns out before buying it for a huge rate. We need to see if 'Family Star' gets an OTT deal before April 5th or not.

Another young hero Ram Pothineni is also in the same situation. His last two movies 'Warriorr' and 'Skanda' ended up as huge disasters. The OTT platform that bought the streaming rights for both these films has reportedly ended up in losses according to reports. Due to this, they are skeptical about his upcoming movie 'Double Ismart'. Director Puri Jagannadh has not been in great form lately and they want to see if this action entertainer impresses the public in theatres or not. The digital rights for this film are yet to be sold and let us see what happens in the coming days.
