A newborn baby died in the ICU of state-run General Hospital in Guntur after he was bitten by rats.
The Hospital Authorities say the baby boy passed away on Wednesday morning due to the complications from a surgery performed for urinary infection. However, The Parents of the child complain the death was caused due to rat bites on the fingers of newborn kept on ventilator in the Intensive Care Unit.
Two days ago, The family complained about the presence of rats in the hospital premises. It was then rat traps were placed in the ICU but still the newborn got bitten.
