Altogether, The 2016 Regular Recruit (RR) batch have 136 Officers including 14 from Foreign Police Forces (Nepal, Bhutan, Maldives). Some of the IPS Officers who failed were felicitated with medals and trophies for doing a good job in other aspects during the training.
Inspite of not being able to pass in the examination, These 119 IPS Officers are now probationers in their respective cadres. They should appear for the examination one more time and clear it. Three Attempts were permitted to clear the Police Academy Exam. Those who fail in all the attempts can't remain in service any longer.
Marks obtained during training are very crucial in the career of an IPS Officer. Good Performers will always have an edge over others and treated as seniors.
