Eluru Mystery illness: 14 Agencies Probing The cause Behind The Illness!
Its been nearly a week since the strange illness broke out in the Eluru region of Andhra Pradesh. The illness is said to have sickened more than 600 people, while one person succumbed to the illness.
With the growing fear about the mystery illness, not less than 14 agencies have been roped-in to analyze the situation and found out the exact reason behind the strange illness.
As part of the decoding process, the National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) is said to have found organophosphate in some of the blood samples of the victims. However, it said it needs some more time to complete the investigation.
It is also believed that traces of mercury were found in rice in excess quantities in the test reports. An excessive amount of herbicide residues is also found in vegetables.
Earlier the experts have tested the water and other food samples in the region and ruled out the speculations of water pollution as the reason behind the strange illness.
The authorities are waiting for the sample test reports of vegetables, rice, fish, meat, and soil. The reports are likely to arrive in two to three days. Once the reports are out, the authorities
