Tension aroused in the Mancherial region in Telangana after not less than 14 Coronavirus infections were detected at the Zilla Parishad Secondary School (Girls) during the medical camp.
According to the media reports, 11 teachers, two cooks and a student have found positive for the respiratory disease. The fresh infections were detected at a medical camp conducted by the authorities.
The medical camp was held at the school after a teacher came in contact with Covid-19 three days back. As a preventive measure, the headmistress arranged the medical drive to check for new infections.
The medical authorities have asked the teacher, cooks, and student who were found positive for the pandemic to observe home quarantine as they developed mild symptoms of the virus. They were also asked to maintain social distancing outdoors for a period of two weeks.
Since the schools were permitted to resume operations, fresh infections were being reported now and then. Earlier Timmapur School of Excellence and Sainik Gurukul School reported fresh infections.
