15 Indians arrested for cheering Pak in CT Final

As many as 15 people were taken into custody by Madhya Pradesh Police on charges of shouting Pro-Pakistan & Anti-India Slogans after the ICC Champions Trophy 2017 Final.

On Sunday night, Tension prevailed in Burhanpur as few people began shouting slogans in favour of Pakistan and bursted crackers at public places to celebrate the victory. Immediately, Security has been tightened in the city to prevent any untoward incidents.

All the accused who were arrested on Monday have been in the age group of 19 to 35. A case was booked against them under Sections 124-A (Sedition) and 120-B (Criminal Conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.

Bail plea of the accused has been rejected when they were produced in a local court. All of them have been taken to the Khandwa district jail.
