Now the recent incidents forced police department to come up with strict rules. Mumbai Police department declared 15 hazardous sites as 'No Selfie Zones', after a teenage girl drowned to death while attempting to click a selfie.
The Mumbai Police has identified 15 dangerous selfie spots across the city.Bandra Fort, Marine Drive, Girgaum Chowpati beach, Bandra Bandstand, Sion Fort and Worli Fort - were among the 15 places declared as the 'No Selfie Zones'. Police said that they will write to the civic body to put up signboards at tourists spots saying that they should not take selfies as it is dangerous.
