In a shocking incident, an 18-year-old has been battling for life at a hospital in Delhi after she was sexually assaulted by different men for six months.
The girl admitted in hospital yesterday by a unknown person and he told the hospital authorities she was her relative. But the person left soon after admitting the victim. The victim is said to have been assaulted severely which has led to injuries all over body.
The girl who was unable to sit, talk or walk is admitted at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital .The girl was trafficked from West Bengal a year ago. The girl reportedly claimed she was sexually assaulted over 10 times in a day by different men over the last six months.
Doctors says that the repeated sexual assault is the cause of her deteriorating health.
Shakti Vahini, an NGO, received the information in this year April about the girl's trafficking and they were trying to locate her since then. It was on Monday that they were told by the Kolkata Police that the girl is admitted at Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital. The girl was allegedly trafficked from West Bengal last year and taken to various places, including Rishikesh, Haridwar, Manali and Mangaluru, before she was brought to Delhi.
