Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde made it clear that 2014 general elections (Assembly, Lok Sabha) will be held in United Andhra Pradesh itself as the creation of Telangana and Residual AP states take 3 more months. With this official confirmation, political equations in the state will change drastically and all the leaders will be in the election mood from now.
Shinde stated Centre hasn't taken a decision on imposing President's Rule in AP until now. He didn't rule out the chances of appointing new CM in place of Kiran Kumar Reddy. Chances of two CMs for AP till the elections looks inevitable in the current scenario.
The election schedule will be released within the next 10 days. Most likely, 2014 polls will take place in April/May.
