Brand new Police cars will roam on the Vijayawada roads and conduct patrolling and other policing duties from now.After the TRS government armed the Telangana police with brand new innova vehicles, the TDP government followed suit in Andhra Pradesh.
AP government recently gave the green signal for procuring 2,422 vehicles of all categories for its police personnel at a cost of Rs 100 crore. The GO was issued after the proposal for purchase of vehicles was put forth by DGP Ramudu.
In order to procure new vehicles for the police, the States finance department had sanctioned Rs 100 crore in the first phase.Now the vehicles were ready and Chief Minaister Chandrababu will hand over them to AP police on 19 th of this monthThe brand new white colored vehicles were presently kept at Mangaligiri sixth battalion.
Its known that Telangana CM KCR had earlier sanctioned Rs. 300 crore for vehicles including 1,500 motorcycles and 1,650 Innova vehicles for police patrolling .
