LeT operations commander Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi who the mastermind behind 2008 Mumbai attack on Friday walked free from Pakistan's Adaila Jail in Rawalpindi after 6 years in detention.
The 55-Year-Old was released at 1.40 PM after a member of his legal team submitted the court order to the Jail Authorities. Jamaat-ud-Dawa Supporters received Lakhvi outside the Adiala Jail and he left for his Islamabad residence soon after the release.
Yesterday, Lahore High Court (LHC) suspended Zaki-ur-Rehman Lakhvi's detention under a security act. India expressed its displeasure over the Court order and accused Pakistan of not keeping the promises made ti it on cross-border terrorism.
Lakhvi who is a close relative of LeT Founder and JuD Chief Hafiz Saeed was arrested in December 2008 in connection with 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
