2nd phase of vaccine drive started in Telangana Health Minister takes 1st dose
The second phase of the Coronavirus vaccination drive across the States and Union Territories in the country has started. The Corona warriors were vaccinated in the first phase of the vaccine drive.
In the current phase of the vaccination drive, nearly 10 crore people across the country will be covered. Beneficiaries above 60 years and individuals above 45 years of age, having comorbidities against coronavirus will be given vaccine doses in the second phase of the vaccination drive.
Like the other states, Telangana too started the second phase of the vaccination drive across the state. Telangana Health Minister Eetala Rajender flagged-off the drive today.
The Health Minister took the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at Huzurabad Area Hospital. In his tweet, the health minister lauded the efforts of doctors and scientists who worked hard in fighting against Covid-19. He appealed to the beneficiaries to take the vaccine dose
"Took my first dose of the #COVID19Vaccine at Huzurabad Area Hospital. Remarkable how our doctors and scientists have worked in quick time to strengthen the global fight against COVID-19. I appeal to all those who are eligible, please take the vaccine," Eetala Rajender's tweet reads.
In the last 24 hours, Telangana added 116 fresh Coronavirus infections, pushing the total caseload to 2,98,923. So far, 1634 patients have succumbed to the pandemic in the state.
