Reportedly, Mahesh Babu has signed a 3 film deal with 14 Reels Entertainment post '1 - Nenokkadine' debacle to bail out the producers from trouble. Hence, the Superstar will be paid just Rs 40 crore for the next three movies under 14 Reels irrespective of the business and the end result. Even 'Aagadu' was part of this deal and the other two films are in the planning. Currently, 14 Reels is holding talks with Puri Jagannath and Boyapati Seenu as Mahesh has also committed to work with these two filmmakers in the next two years.
Apparently, Reports of Mahesh Babu signing a 3 film deal with 14 Reels at the time of 'Dookudu' were untrue. The star has preferred such a deal after '1 - Nenokkadine' release as the passionate producers lost to the tune of Rs 25-30 crore. It's takes a life time for any producer to recover from such a hefty loss and hence Mahesh came to their rescue.
In fact, Mahesh Babu has nothing much to loose because of this deal as he will be paid not less than Rs 13 crore per film. Most importantly, it gives an opportunity for 14 Reels to be in a safe zone if at least two of these films were hits. As all the 3-4 films signed by the Superstar until now are commercial entertainers only, hence target is achievable. Mahesh is undoubtedly a Producer's Actor! Like Father, Like Son!
