35 Seats Posing A Threat To Mahakutami

Update: 2018-10-18 05:29 GMT
There is hardly one-a-half-month for the Assembly Polls in Telangana but Grand Alliance comprising of parties such as Congress - TDP - TJS and CPI are yet to reach an understanding on seat sharing. 35 Seats in & around Twin Cities have become a headache for the Congress Party. Congress, TDP & TJS have been very particular about these constituencies. While TDP demanded the seats where Andhra Settlers are good in numbers, TJS sought the segments banking on Employees & Segments where people made sacrifices for the Telangana Movement. Congress, on the other hand, believes it is stronger than these two parties in many of these constituencies.

After the talks with TDP & TJS failed, T-PCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy reported the matter to Congress Core Committee. He told AICC Leaders AK Anthony & Ghulam Nabi Azad that Congress needn't have to sacrifice the constituencies whether it's poll prospects are good enough.

Telangana In-Charge Khuntiya discussed about seat sharing with Core Committee Members. Post the meeting, He expressed the view that a solution that's acceptable for all the parties will be found out soon. Khuntiya assured MLC, Nominated Posts & Rajya Sabha Seats for those Congress Leaders who will be denied tickets in the upcoming elections.

If either TDP or TJS refuse to accept the solution proposed by Congress, Cracks in the Mahakutami would only lead to separation. Any such development gives TRS as edge in the Assembly Polls.
