Fire Mishap At Luggage Factory Killed 43 People

As many as 43 people were killed in the fire that broke out at a luggage manufacturing factory in Anaj Mandi on Rani Jhansi Road, north Delhi. More than 50 people were inside the factory when the mishap happened. Most of the deceased are labourers. Around 15 injured people were treated in the LNGP Hospital. The death toll could increase in the coming days.

After the fire accident was reported at 5.22 am, Nearly 30 fire engines were rushed to the spot to bring down the situation to normalcy. Fire broke out at the workshop of the factory and it spread rapidly. Exact reason behind the fire accident isn't known yet.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal ordered for a magisterial inquiry into the fire accident. He announced compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the kin of deceased and Rs 1 lakh for the injured.

PM Narendra Modi opined fire mishap in Rani Jhansi Road is extremely horrific. He told his thoughts are with the families who lost their loved ones.
