In a piece of good news, Andhra Pradesh witnessed a dip in fresh Covid-19 infections in the past 24 hours, with over 5,000 patients found positive for the novel Coronavirus.
In the past 24 hours, 70,521 samples were tested in the state and 5,145 fresh cases were detected. With the new addition, total infections zoomed to 7,44,864.
Fresh recoveries have also witnessed a sharp rise with as many as 6,110 patients beating the dreaded virus in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 6,91,040 patients have been declared cured, while the active case stood at 47,665.
The total tool of Covid-19 related fatalities in the states zoomed to 6,159 with, 31 patients breathing their last in the span of 24 hours. Over the past few days, fatalities have been decreasing gradually.
