As many as six Indian Air Force Officers and a civilian were killed in the IAF Chopper Crash which happened on Wednesday morning in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
The ill-fated IAF Chopper is a Russian-made Mi-17. It crashed at an open field near Garend Kalaan village in Budgam at 10.05 am. Parts of the aircraft were burnt to ashes.
India declared that an IAF Pilot was missing after an Indian Air Force Aircraft shot down a Pakistani Fighter Jet. A Pakistani F-16 Aircraft had collapsed in Lam Valley area in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Airports in Leh, Jammu, Srinagar and Amritsar have been shut down temporarily. High alert has been announced in the area close to the border. Evacuation of civilians has been happening at a huge scale.
