65 Former IAS Officers caution Narendra Modi

A Group of 65 former IAS Officers wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to caution him over the growing hyper-nationalism and rising authoritarianism in the country.

Particularly, The Ex-Bureaucrats expressed concern over the issuing threats and trolling of Activists, Journalists, Intellectuals and Writers who disagree with a certain ideology.

Former Chief Information Commissioner Wajahat Habibullah who is one among the 65 Ex-IAS Officers told the open letter was issued based on their personal experiences. He warned PM about the rising trend of Hyder-nationalism in the country. He stressed increasing communalism, vigilantism and trolling is a dangerous sign.

Mr.Habibullah questioned: 'If you aren't with the Government, Then You are Anti-National. Nobody should question those in Authority - Is that the message conveyed here? Growing religious intolerance is aimed majorly at Muslims'.
