6.7 magnitude Earthquake hits Northeast India, 5 Dead!

An earthquake measuring 6.7 on richter scale jolted Northeast India in the early hours of Monday. As of now, There is a confirmation regarding Five people losing their lives and over 40 other getting injured in northeast India.

NDRF Teams comprising of 90 members were rushed to Imphal for rescue operations. Prime Minister Modi is monitoring the situation in the Northeast India.

The impact of the earthquake was also felt in Bangladesh, Myanmar and Bhutan. People experienced shaking of structures and they had rushed out of their homes to save themselves.

Meteorological Department informed Epicenter of the earthquake was at Tamenglong region in Manipur and Its at a depth of 17 kilometers in the India-Myanmar border region. The quake hit 29 km west of Manipur capital Imphal at 4.35 am.
