7000 Techies Ran For Their Lives in Bengaluru

Bengaluru's Embassy Tech Village in Marathalli on Friday received a bomb threat at 12.07 pm from a toll free number. Embassy Tech Village is on the Outer Ring Road in Bengaluru. Threat call was received at the Cisco office inside the tech park. The person who made the call spoke in Hindi and warned there would a bomb blast in 10 minutes.

Soon after receiving the threat call, All the 7,000 Employees in the Embassy Tech Village have been evacuated and moved to a safe location. The Bomb disposal squads and sniffer dogs swung into action to decide if its a real threat or fake call.

Meanwhile, Cops rushed to the Embassy Tech Village to carry out the investigation. DCP opined such threat calls will be mostly pranks played by mischievous people. He told Cyber Crime has been contacted to trace the VoIP Call.

Thousands of Techies ran for their lives and there was a panic situation for few minutes. They breathed a sigh of relief only after believing it could be a prank.
