Due to the ongoing lockdown, most of the companies asked the employees to work from home. Interestingly, India's largest IT service firm Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is thinking of following the same even after the lockdown. TCS will ask a vast majority of 75 per cent of its 3.5 lakh employees to work from home by 2025, up from 20 per cent.

TCS's chief operating officer NG Subramaniam spoke to the reputed Media house that "We don't believe that we need more than 25% of our workforce at our facilities in order to be 100% productive," NG Subramaniam said.

TCS CEO and MD Rajesh Gopinathan told employees in a letter that, "We have come out stronger and our model is more proven than ever before. It helps organisations become more resilient because the fully distributed nature of this model is inherently less risky and better suited for business continuity and agility."
