Kannada Star Upendra floated a political party ahead of the Karnataka Assembly Polls. He, however, walked out of it prior to the elections complaining about the sale of tickets by few key leaders.
Brushing aside the rumours that he would join BJP, Upendra gave an indication to fans about the launch of new political party. He preferred his birthday (September 18th) for launching Uttama Prajakeeya Party officially.
Upendra conveyed he refrains from launching Uttama Prajakeeya Party grandly. Instead, He wishes to take the party principles to the public effectively using Print, Electronic & Social Media. 'I don't bother about victory or defeat. Do your job without expecting anything in return is my principle,' he told.
The Kannada Actor seems to be keen to build his party by the time of 2023 Assembly Polls. He might even try to capitalize on the growing anti-incumbency against the Congress-JD (U) Government.
