AAP Eyeing Andhra Pradesh, talks held with Ex-Janasena Leader?

Update: 2022-03-28 11:46 GMT
The forthcoming general elections in Andhra Pradesh are going to be a treat to watch. Former allies Telugu Desam Party and Jana Sena are giving indirect hints that they are ready for the alliance. Janasena chief took a step ahead and said that there is a need to consolidate the anti-YCP votes.

Now the latest buzz is that we might see one more party trying its luck in the state by contesting the polls. The party which is said to be working on entering Andhra Pradesh is an outsider party and for the same reason, the party is on a big search for leaders to give a face to the outfit.

The media reports say that the Aam Aadmi Party, which had proved its strength with the recent Punjab elections is reportedly gearing up to spread its wings in Andhra Pradesh. For that, the party is searching for faces that can represent the party in the polls.

The key takeaway from the media reports is that the Former joint director of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) V V Lakshminarayana is in talks with the AAP to join the party. It is said that he is positive towards the invitation and he might take a call on this very soon.

Not just JD, AAP is in touch with a few other bureaucrats as well and things might shape well in the coming few days. It's interesting to see, who all can AAP bring to the party. A formal announcement is awaited from the party on this.

After the high success of the recently held Punjab polls, AAP is looking at other states and the Telugu states are also among them. It has been widely reported that Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal might tour Telangana and hold a padayatra to strengthen the party.

Besides Telangana, AAP also has its eye on fellow Telugu state Andhra Pradesh and for that, the party is holding talks with many bureaucrats. JD, who could not win his maiden polls in 2019 when he was with Janasena was reportedly approached by the Aam Aadmi Party. However, there is no info on what he said.
