ACB Discloses Key Information In ESI Scam

Talking about the arrest of TDP leader Atchannaidu, Anti-Corruption Bureau(ACB) Joint Director Ravi Kumar said that there is no political motive behind this and the action was completely based on the preliminary investigation report that was submitted by the Vigilance Enforcement Department.

The JD said that so far two FIRs were filed in connection with the ESi scam and as of now, Insurance Medical Services(IMS) C K Ramesh Kumar and former director G Vijay Kumar along with V Janardhan, E Ramesh Babu, and M KB Chakravarthi were arrested.

It is revealed that during the funds of Rs 150 crores were misappropriated in the ESI fund allocation. For doing so they have violated many norms like not calling for open tenders and even misused the government funds.

He concluded that more people will be taken into custody and upon looking at more documents we will get more information which will be disclosed soon. Ramesh Kumar and Atchannaidu were made A1 and A2 in this case.

They have also found out that in this scam they have produces drugs and various medical kits and types of equipment without any requirement that too by paying huge prices than the actual prices.
