Actor-cum-MLA Karunas visited the residence of Rajinikanth and the meet lasted for about half-and-hour. This news has become a hot topic in the Tamil Nadu political circles.
Speaking to media, Karunas clarifies it's just a courtesy call and their meeting is no way related to politics. 'I like Rajinikanth very much. At the time when his movie 'Basha' is getting digitalized, I felt like meeting him once and hence I am here Today,' he said.
Karunas rubbished the allegations on the demise of Jayalalithaa as baseless. He made it clear there is no need for ordering a probe on this matter.
Notably, Karunas belongs to AIADMK General Secretary VK Sasikala Natarajan's Camp. He voted for Palaniswami during the vote of confidence in the Tamil Nadu Assembly. He might have met Rajini to send an indication that Thalaivar is supporting the present Government. Or else, This could be to lower the negative impression people of his constituency have on him.
