Popular Vaishnavaite seer Sri Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamy had landed in an unwanted controversy as his comments did not go well with many. Questioning the beliefs of many on worshiping the tribal goddesses is making him face the heat.
Going into details, Chinna Jeeyar Swamy had reportedly termed Sammakka and Saralamma as non-goddesses and asked whatâs the logic behind worshiping them who are not gods. Not stopping there, he alleged that many people are making business from the villages in the name of Jatara.
Alleging that their beliefs were hurt by his comments, the tribal community leaders and activists are slamming him for his objectionable comments. One after the other is joining the list to slam the famous seer who was in the news recently with the Statue of Equality.
Adivasi MLA Seethakka was not impressed with the comments made by Chinna Jeeya Swamy and asked what right he has got to pass such objectionable comments and hurt the sentiments of people who worship goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma.
Not happy with the seer alleging that business is going on at the jatara, Seethakka asked what he is doing with the Samata Murthy statue. She asked why the seer had put a ticket for the statue. Slamming the seer for his objectionable comments, the MLA demanded an apology from him.
