After Hindu, Muslim Problem, Now Christian Issue For KCR

Update: 2020-07-18 07:44 GMT
Here's another headache for Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The demolition of a mosque and a temple during the demolition of the secretariat is already turning out to be a headache for him. While Muslims are already unhappy with the way the demolition took place, there is discontent even among the Hindus over the way things happened.

Foxy KCR realised the impact and immediately came back from his farmhouse to Pragathi Bhavan and began cajoling the people. He managed to get the support of Asaduddin Owaisi of the MIM. Meanwhile, there is another problem for him. The Christians are now demanding a place to offer prayers. The United Council of Churches of Telangana has demanded that a prayer hall be constructed for them too.

In fact, earlier, the Christian employees and officials used to offer prayers on every Wednesday in the Association Hall of the K Block. During the reign of YS Rajasekhara Reddy in 2007, a separate church hall was allocated in the L block. Now, the Christians want these facilities to be provided to them too. It remains to be seen what KCR would decide.
