In what it could be a shocker, Telangana Deputy Speaker Padma Rao Goud infected with the dreaded virus. Along with him, his two sons were also infected with the fatal disease.
With his other family members tested negative for the virus, they were asked to be in the home - lazaretto as a safety step. The Deputy Speaker is ok now and his health condition is also stable now.
Earlier, Home Minister Mahmood Ali and three MLAs belonging to the ruling TRS party Jangaon MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy, Nizamabad Urban MLA Bigala Ganesh Gupta, and Nizamabad Rural MLA Bajireddy Govardhan were also tested positive for the virus.
Looking at the cases in the state, the state currently has 15,394, with around 975 people testing positive on Monday which marks the highest surge of single-day cases so far.
