As a result of the havoc created by the ongoing second wave of the Coronavirus in Telangana, the state has been witnessing a big surge in single-day infections and casualties, raising several fears and concerns about the virus spread.
Earlier this week, Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandrashekhar Rao had tested positive for the novel Coronavirus and quarantined himself as per the doctors' advice.
Days after KCR tested Covid positive, his son, IT Minister KTR had also come in contact with the virus. He announced the same on his Twitter account. He isolated himself at his residence.
Announcing the news of him testing Corona positive, the IT Minister said, he has mild symptoms and he is currently in isolation. He had appealed to those who have met him in the last few days to follow the Covid protocols.
'I've tested COVID positive with mild symptoms. Currently isolated at home.Those of you who have met me last few days, kindly follow the covid protocol, get tested & take care,' KTR's tweet reads.
In the last 24 hours, Telangana witnessed as many as 6,206 cases, taking the total count of cases in the state over 3.79 lakh. With 29 people losing their lives in the past 24 hours, the total Covid-19 casualties in the state rose to 1,928.
