Malik scored 7,534 runs in 287 ODIs at an average of 34.55. This include 9 Centuries and 44 Half Centuries. The 37-Year-Old took 158 wickets in ODIs.
This is how Sania Mirza responded over Shoaib Malik's retirement: 'Every story has an end, but in life every ending is a new beginning. You have proudly played for your country for 20 years, you continue to do so with so much honour and humility..Izhaan and I are so proud of everything you have achieved but also for who you are'.
