Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao came up with an unbelievable Rs 5 lakh life insurance scheme for the farmers in the age group of 18 to 59 years. State Government will bear all the expenses of this historic scheme. Age of the Farmers on Aadhaar Cards have been taken into consideration while identifying the eligible people. This is why most of the Farmers are worried.
Year Of Birth on Aadhaar Cards is of utmost importance here. Age will be calculated from July 1st of Year-of-Birth.
Huge number of Farmers in Telangana has deliberately increased their age (65 or More) on Aadhaar Cards to avail the Rs 1000 per month Aasara Pension. These farmers can't be the beneficiaries of the Life Insurance scheme sponsored by TRS Government. 20 percent of the farmers will get affected as per an estimate. Farmers have to produce valid documents to change age on Aadhaar and it could be a time taking process. They will end up losing Aasara Pension if their age is below 65. What if Telangana Government doesn't consider last minute modifications in Aadhaar?
Not to forget that most of the Farmers are illiterates and they won't have necessary documents to change age in Aadhaar. That's the biggest concern!
