Ahead of Assembly polls, Kamal Haasan talks about alliance with other parties!
The much-awaited Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu are just a few weeks away from now. The Legislative assembly election for the state will be held on the Sixth of April this year.
Ahead of the polls, Actor-turned-politician, Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) founder Kamal Haasan dropped a big bomb on the possibilities of an alliance with other political parties in the state.
Talking about the alliance, Kamal Haasan said they are in talks with link-minded parties for the possible alliance for the polls. He is reportedly all set to join hands with two political outfits in the state.
He made these comments after Kollywood senior actor, All India Samathuva Makkal Katchi (AISMK) chief R Sarath Kumar had extended his support to Kamal Haasan and said Kamal would be the CM candidate for the alliance.
Addressing the sixth annual general body meeting of AISMK, Sarath Kumar said the AISMK, MNM, and Indhiya Jananayaga Katchi (IJK) alliance would get stronger in the upcoming polls.
Adding further, Sarath Kumar said, the alliance did not come to an opinion on the seat-sharing for the upcoming polls and said more details will be announced very soon.
It has to be noted that, Kamal Haasan had always expressed his willingness to join hands with other political outfits. He wanted to join hands with his fellow actor Rajinikanth, but he had opted out of politics.
Kamal Haasan's MNM contested the 2019 Lok Sabha polls, but faced a humiliating defeat by losing all the seats. Kamal is confident in making an impact in the upcoming elections.
