Ahead Of The US Elections, Trump Administration Announced New Visa Restrictions

United States President  Donald Trump who has been batting for safeguarding the employment of local Americans for quite a time made another move regarding the H-1B visas, weeks ahead of the US Presidential elections

The Trump administration came up with a new set of restrictions on H-1B nonimmigrant visas. This new development is believed to makes the visa opportunities for foreign skilled workers even thinner.

Local American media termed the new visa programme as a move to restore the integrity of the nation and increase the employment opportunities for the Americans, who suffered a major crisis with the Covid-19 outbreak after the Great Recession.

The federal executive department, Department of Homeland Security announced the new visa restrictions. It is believed that the new restrictions will effective in 60 days.

With the new restrictions, Indian and Chinese IT professions who hold a lion share in H-1B visa aspirants will get affected largely.

Post the deadly outbreak of the novel Coronavirus, thousands of  Indian H-1B visas holders lost their jobs and turned unemployed and returned back to India.

Slashing the US working dream of thousands of Indian aspirants, the Trump administration had suspended the H-1B visas and other work visas till the end of 2020.

While suspending the work visas and announcing the new visa restrictions, the Trump administration maintained the same opinion that the changes in rules were made to safeguard the employment opportunities of the local Americans.
