Since the demise of Jayalalithaa, BJP is trying to strengthen it's base in Tamil Nadu. Party Leadership has finally reached the conclusion that it needs the support of a well-established political party in Tamil Nadu to grow as strong force in future. As DMK continues to maintain good relations with Congress even after poll debacle, BJP is pinning all hopes on AIADMK at the moment.
On the other hand, Even AIADMK badly needs the support of Centre to ensure there is no political crisis till the next Assembly Polls. So, The Ruling Party will be more than happy to be an alliance partner. PM Modi & BJP Chief Amit Shah are keen to induct one or two AIADMK MPs into Union Cabinet during the upcoming Cabinet Reshuffle. This move is an attempt by NDA to grow much stronger by 2019 Lok Sabha Polls.
Even Nitish Kumar's JD(U) might be allotted one or two ministerial berths by Narendra Modi after the recent change of political equations in Bihar. Cabinet Expansion is expected to happen in the first week of August.
