Air India Flight not allowed to fly for 8 Hours In USA

Update: 2017-08-06 06:33 GMT
Passengers of New Delhi-bound Air India Flight got the shock of their lives as the take-off was denied for 8 hours by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the John F Kennedy Airport in New York citing lack of Tag Numbers to the few seats.

When AI Boeing-777 was about to fly from Chicago to Delhi, FAA conducted searches in the Aircraft and found many seats lacked Technical Standards Order (TSO) tags. Permission was denied for take off though lack of tags is no way related to security issue.

The 342-seater Aircraft is fully occupied. Passengers faced severe inconvenience as the scheduled take off is at 1.30 PM but the Aircraft moved only 8 hours later. Seat Belts with TSO tags have been brought to Chicago in a Delta Flight by Air India for obtaining the permission. Even Air India expressed displeasure over the inconvenience caused to passengers due to American Officials.
