Few days ago, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju commented that Air India staff are lagging in commitment when drawn comparisons with the staff of Private Airlines. Least did he expect a counter to his statement from a Pilot of a National carrier.
Air India Pilot Subhashish Majumdar has written to Civil Aviation Minister saying politicians are still lagging well behind in their commitment to the Nation.
Majumdar who claims to be a committed AI Employee, honest tax payer and patriotic citizen is pained by the complete washout of Winter Session of Parliament. He says 92 hours of work got wasted, prohibition on slogan shouting, displaying placards and disrupting proceedings were blatantly floured. He asked politicians to lead by example so that Air India staff would take inspiration from them.
However, Air India spokesperson Dhananjay Kumar said he isn't aware of such letter written by a Pilot. He further added, 'Even if a pilot has written such a letter, It has got nothing to do with Air India'.
