Political Feud between Mulayam Singh and Akhilesh Yadav is getting muskier with each passing day. After his expulsion from party following the release of parallel list of Assembly candidates, Akhilesh Yadav called for a convention and declared himself as the Samajwadi Party's National President in place of his father. A resolution has been passed to this effect. Immediately, Akhilesh Yadav's Coterie decided to move Election Commission to stake claim to the party symbol (Cycle) to fight upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls.
On the other hand, Mulayam Singh's Coterie reached Delhi to meet Election Commission officials to ensure that the party symbol remains with the founder. Mulayam's brother Shivpal Yadav and MP Amar Singh were assigned this job.
It may be recalled that Akhilesh Yadav suspended Shivpal Yadav and Amar Singh from the party a day after his expulsion. At least, 200 SP MLAs and majority of the Ministers are behind Akhilesh Yadav at present.
