Alliance with CPM upsets this TRS veteran

Update: 2022-11-11 07:33 GMT
Former Minister and TRS leader from Khammam Tummala Nageswara Rao is said to be upset at the TRS alliance with the CPI and the CPM.  He is unhappy over the way investigations are being done in the murder of his staunch supporter Tammineni Krishnaiah. He feels that the TRS government is deliberately slowing the pace of the investigation.

It is alleged that CPM leader Tammineni Veerabhadram has a hand in the killing of Tammineni Krishnaiah. However, now that the TRS has aligned with the CPM and the CPI for the Munugode bypoll and wants to continue the alliance till the 2023 elections, he feels that there is a remote chance that killers of Krishnaiah would be brought to book.

Hence, he is said to be upset and has conveyed his displeasure to the TRS top bosses. However, the party appears to be in no mood to listen to him. This has led to disillusionment of Tummala Nageswara Rao. He is said to be considering even leaving the ruling TRS.

However, Tummala has not clearly spelt out his decision. Even during the Atmeeya Sammelanam of his supporters in Vajedu on Thursday, Tummala has categorically said that there was no question of his leaving the TRS. However, sources close to him say that he is still exploring all options on the issue.
