Amazon Chief's former wife ties not with a science teacher

Former wife of Amazon chief Jeff Bezos, MacKenzie Scott, the third richest woman in the world with a fortune of around USD 53 billion got remarried with a science teacher, who hails from  Seattle.

MacKenzie Scott tied the knot with Dan Jewett, who works as a science teacher at a private hospital. MacKenzie Scott's children studies at the same school where Dan Jewett teaches science.

The couple announced their marriage on the Giving Pledge website. The website is a platform where rich people take the pledge to donate their fortune to serve others. The marriage announcement was made on Saturday, but there is no information on when the duo got married.

"It is strange to be writing a letter indicating I plan to give away the majority of my wealth during my lifetime, as I have never sought to gather the kind of wealth required to feel like saying such a thing would have particular meaning," Jewett said in the statement.

Jeff Bezos and MacKenzie got divorced in 2019. The duo made a $38 billion divorce settlement. They got separated after 25 years of their marriage. The Amazon chief congratulated the couple. "Dan is such a great guy, and I am happy and excited for the both of them," he said in the statement.
