Andhra-born Cricketer equals Dhoni's Record

Ambati Rayudu equalled Indian ODI Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni's record after he scored a half century in Yesterday match against Zimbabwe. Both Dhoni and Rayudu scored 1,000 runs in 29 ODI innings.

Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan hold the fastest 1,000 runs record in ODIs. They achieved this feat in just 24 Innings. Among the veterans, Its Navjot Singh Sindhu who holds the record by achieving the feat in 25 Innings.

Rayudu have roots in Guntur of Andhra Pradesh. He, however, made Hyderabad his home town since several years. The 30-Year-Old made his ODI debut on July 24th in 2013 against Zimbabwe. He plays for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League and represents Baroda Cricket Team at the National level. Hopefully, Rayudu reaches many more milestones in his cricket career.
