Ambulance Driver Cheated A Dead Man's Family For Rs 85,000

Even in these tragic times, some people are acting cruelly taking advantage of innocents. An incident from Kurnool came to light that Ambulance driver had cheated a dead man family and taken Rs 85,000 from them claiming that the man was dead with COVID-19 and they must dispose of the body.

Karanam Sainathrao of Kurnool B.Camp fell seriously ill on the 14th of this month. He was taken by private ambulance to Kurnool Government Hospital and doctors confirmed that he was already dead.

The ambulance staff told the family that Sainathrao had died of Coronavirus and according to the regulations, the body would have to be taken to the funeral themselves.

The uneducated deceased's wife called her son abroad and asked him to send her money. Kranti Kiran, a son living in Melbourne, Australia, spoke to the ambulance staff on the phone from there and agreed to pay Rs 85,000 for the funeral.

Later, the family members went to the Government hospital on Thursday for the death certificate of Sainath Rao and got shocked after noticing the report. The certified that victim was dead with CRF, not COVID.

The deceased man's family exposed the scam through social media and asked others not to be deceived.
