Cricket is undoubtedly the most popular sport in India and cricket fans want their team to win the match every time. If it's the match against Pakistan, the people talk about only the match leaving all other issues. Whenever India loses the match the players face heat from the fans. Indian pacer Mohammed Shami attracted online criticism after India was defeated by Pakistan in its opening match of the T 20 World Cup on Sunday.

In the light of Shami facing the heat, Pakistan batsman Mohammad Rizwan came in support of Shami and posted a heartfelt post for the pacer. He expressed his shock over the speedster being trolled in his own country.

Taking to Twitter, the Right-hand batsman said it's sad to see a player who is among the best players in the world is taking pressure in his country. In the post, the Pakistan player had urged everyone to respect the stars. His post went viral.

“The kind of pressure, struggles & sacrifices a player has to go through for his country & his people is immeasurable.@MdShami11 is a star & indeed of the best bowlers in the world Please respect your stars. This game should bring people together & not divide 'em,” the Pakistani player’s post reads.

Rizwan was not only the first player to support Mohammed Shami. Earlier, veteran Indian players Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag, commentator Harsha Bhogle and a few politicians like Rahul Gandhi and Asaduddin Owaisi have supported Shami in this regard and hit back at the trolls.

In the Sunday match, Pakistan recorded a 10-wicket win against India. India was restricted to 152 during their batting and the Pakistani bowlers need a special mention here. Pakistan openers have chased the target without losing any wicket.
