One appointment that the BJP made for Andhra Pradesh is giving jitters to TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. Chandrababu is no worried over Kerala man Muralidharan's appointment as AP incharge. It is the other appointment that is worrying. The BJP has appointed Sunil Deodhar as the deputy incharge for AP.
Now, Deodhar is a diehard RSS man and a master campaigner. He is known for his foxy strategies that help the BJP win even the most difficult of the constituencies. Unlike other incharges, who fly in and fly out at regular intervals, Deodhar stays put in the state headquarters and travels to the nook and corner in the area. He learns the local language and understands the complexities. He can turn the tide in a matter of months and this he had done in Tripura. In Tripura, the BJP did not have even a single ward member. But, in just two years, the BJP is in power in Tripura. Not many people know that he was incharge of Modi's campaign in Varanasi. Also, during the Maharashtra assembly elections, he was asked to concentrate on Dahanu Lok Sabha seat, which is a Communist citadel. The BJP had just one out of seven assembly constituencies with it. But, after the elections, it had half of the seats with it. In 2012, he was given the responsibility of winning Dahod in Gujarat, which had a Congress majority. But, Deodhar did the magic and won maximum seats there. So, with Deodhar's coming, the TDP is naturally very worried. It will watch Deodhar's every move very carefully.
