Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan has received national award yesterday as best actor for his performance in Piku movie. The 73-year-old was in Vigyan Bhavan on Tuesday to receive the award from Indian president.
Amitabh says he was humbled with the respect received from President Pranab Mukhargee. Pranab Mukherjee made a special speech at the event and called Bachchan as "living legend".
"Back from Delhi and National Award! So humbled and touched, for President of India to take my name in his speech!" Amitabh Tweeted.
Big B won the national award for his outstanding performance as a hypochondriac father in "Piku" movie. This is the fourth national award for the actor. Earlier he won the prestigious award for films like "Agneepath", "Black" and "Paa".
